Some of you may not be so young, and some of you may be quite young. Either way, it applies to anyone and everyone reading this blog post.
Being young is possibly the best thing that can happen to anyone and it does happen to everyone.
I will start with this. A piece of advice I can give to those of you who are still young is this:
"Enjoy being a child as long as you can. You are a child for a very short time. There will be plenty of time for being an adult." - Rene Erives
Maybe I am feeling a little nostalgic today. I don't know. I woke up this morning and I saw my kids asleep, and I wondered what they dreamed of. I wondered what they would do upon waking up. I felt clueless there for a moment since I have been an adult now for a good 20 years (give or take). It was almost as if I had forgotten for a moment what it was to be a child, and I notice, when things become stressful, I tend to forget, or at least put those memories aside.
I stepped outside for a few moments, still thinking about my job, my mortgage, my unevenly inflated tires on my car among other things. I checked the news and I went back inside to get ready for work.
On the way to work, of course the same things going through my mind as I went from a 5 MPH roll to a 30 MPH zoom on the freeway then back to stop... Repeat several times.
I sit here now, wondering what all I miss because of everything that I think about and how many opportunities I had to be a child even as an adult. We take everything so seriously and we are at war with one another because of our differences. In the end however, we are all still human. We all bleed red and we are all born, and we all die. What we do with that time in between is what is important.
Some people even die from too much stress. Stock market prices fall, we stress. We lose a job, we stress. We get divorced, we stress. We didn't get that promotion, we stress and so on and so on.
A child does not have to worry about those grown up things that kill us. They don't have to. Well, at least most children do not.
I guess my point is, if I have one, is that if you are young, then be young as long as you possibly can. Be a child. We are children for about 15-20 years, and then we are adults for a good 60 - 70 years. If you have children, please remember that sometimes it's okay to just go crazy, run around, get dirty, fall off chairs and ding your head a bit. It's okay to eat some dirt, catch bugs, and even pick up a piece of candy off the floor. It didn't kill us, and it certainly won't kill our children.
If you are an adult, you can no longer go back to those days to being a care free child, however, you can go back into your memories and dig out those dusty good times you had, and play them again in your head. I promise it will make you smile. If you share those moments, then not only will they make you smile, but you may also laugh out loud, and even shed a tear of joy.
Oh yes, as an adult, even though you can no longer be a child, you can stay young in mind, and you can have fun. So for homework, take a water hose, make some mud in the back yard, and get to making mud pies and having mud fights with your kids. Or you can do it alone if you wish. Don't worry about the neighbors... they're just a bunch of old fogies anyway:)

My smelly car
Yes, I have a smelly car. I have a four year old boy and a 14 year old girl. Soon to be 5 and 15. Each is dirtier than the next and they both come back on a complete circle.
I get up at 5 AM every day to go to work, and I come back home around 8:30 PM after work and school responsibilities have been fulfilled. Hence the dirty smelling car. I have no time to clean it on a regular basis.
I do try to do this once a week, usually on the weekends. However, for the past couple of weeks, things have been so hectic that I have not had an extra minute to take care of this.
Well, about a week ago, my car started smelling extra bad. It smelled like a jungle in there. It turns out that my four year old decided to wear wet shoes, and stuff them under a seat, next to the half eaten banana that, well, he decided to NOT eat.
My daughter stuffed a half eaten bag of Cheetos in the back pocket of my driver seat as well.
Now get this. Neither one of them is allowed to eat in the car, but just as prisoners sneak cell phones and other contraband into prison, so do my kids into my car. Personally, I think the dog is hooking them up with the contraband. I just don't know.
Well, my car is squeaky clean all of a sudden. But it was missing an essential. Something personal. Now, As you have probably figured it out, I'm a Scentsy Independent Consultant. and out of all people, I should have been the one to think, Hey! Why not keep a Room Spray in there?! I brought one out to my car, and I keep it in the glove box. I don't need to go to the carwash and pay $3 for their nasty fragrances that only last a couple of days.
I used it a couple of times. One spray is all it takes. Trust me, this stuff is potent, so you don't need very much. It's intended for bedrooms and such, but why not my car? I'm in it so much, it may as well be my room!
As for my two smuggling kids, I will be paying closer attention to them before they get into my car. We are about to go to the mall in a few minutes. I need new clothes. As a matter of fact, I will be using money from my Scentsy sales to buy these two outfits. I don't sell as much as I would like, because as you see, I work all day and the weekends, well I spend those upside down in my car digging things out from under seats.
For those of you who love Scentsy though, and have used the products, you know them and love them.
Thank you so much for your support!!! I'm off to the mall now. I need a personal assistant...

Back to school
So it's that time of year again! Time to send the kids back to school, and for some, you must send your teens off to college. It's a time when emotions run high and people are running around shopping, and stressing about getting ready for the big day.
So what are you doing to get ready? We suggest going through your kids closet and looking for clothes that were not worn much throughout the year and use those clothes as a reference point to what you should buy for them this coming year. This will save you money by not having to buy an entire wardrobe, which of course, will end up being super expensive and much of it going to waste.
Remember also, that clothes that your children wore gently can be donated at a near by donation box or the Salvation Army. When you donate, instead of having a garage sale, you actually get more money back from the IRS than you would from sitting out in your front driveway all day on a perfectly good Saturday. Just make sure you get a receipt for your donations.
School supplies are a huge expense every year. Things such as a pencil bag can cost you in the neighborhood of a dollar to ten dollars depending on how fashionable or trendy it is. Now ask yourself the following question. How long did my child use his/her pencil bag before it disappeared? A day? Maybe a week? By the way, where do all the pencil bags go? Do they run away with the socks? Who knows. Cut that expense.
Buy a pack of pencils, and issue out two at a time. Giving an entire pack to your child can have you buying pencils again in a couple of weeks when those two have mysteriously disappeared. Folders can be expensive if you buy designer folders with puppies and kittens or the goodness forbid... Justin Beiber. Did I spell that right? Oh, well... We all know that folders end up being written on with markers, pens and crayons. Your kid won't even care that Justin Beiber is on the cover a week later. Sure, they'll complain initially, but they get over it. If you must make them happy, one Justin, kitten or puppy folder should suffice. The rest can be multicolored and will last just as long as the designer one, which will end up with your kids designs on them anyway.
I know this post is not about candles, but our kids are going back to school in about a week or so, and I just wanted to give you guys a few pointers on what we plan on doing this year. Okay, maybe a little bit about candles. Come by our new website TrueWickless.com. We just got approved for it a few days ago. We would love it if you bought a few items. Thank you so much!!!

Scentsy Wickless Flameless Candles do not go by the same rules as conventional old fashioned candles. We have a safer product that you simply plug in, and turn on and off with a simple switch. The risk of a fire with a wickless candle is not the same as that of an old fashioned candle. Our candle wax is lead free, and chemical free.
Give our flameless wickless candles a try! We know you will love them! Also please follow us on http://www.facebook.com/AromaDance and LIKE our page to receive updates on new products and contests!
If you still prefer candles with a wick that require fire to operate, then please follow the 20 rules below for your safety and that of your family and neighbors. This was taken directly from the National Candle Association http://www.candles.org/safety_rules.html
20 Candle Safety Rules
Candles are safe products, but unless they are used safely and watched carefully, they can lead to an accidental fire.
Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.Do not place lighted candles where they can be knocked over by children, pets or anyone else.
Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.
Don't burn a candle all the way down. Extinguish the flame if it comes too close to the holder or container. For a margin of safety, discontinue burning a candle when 2 inches of wax remains or ½ inch if in a container.
Use a candle snuffer to extinguish a candle. It's the safest way to prevent hot wax from splattering.

20 Candle Safety Rules
Candles are safe products, but unless they are used safely and watched carefully, they can lead to an accidental fire.
More than 15,000 candle fires are reported annually. According to fire experts, the bulk of candle-fire incidents are due to consumer inattention to basic fire safety or to the misuse of candles.
The National Candle Association urges consumers to be careful when burning candles, and to following these rules for burning candles safely.
Always keep a burning candle within sight. Extinguish all candles when leaving a room or before going to sleep.
Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire. Keep burning candles away from furniture, drapes, bedding, carpets, books, paper, flammable decorations, etc.
Trim candlewicks to ¼ inch each time before burning.Long or crooked wicks cause uneven burning and dripping.
Always use a candleholder specifically designed for candle use. The holder should be heat resistant, sturdy and large enough to contain any drips or melted wax.
Be sure the candleholder is placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface. This will also help prevent possible heat damage to counters and table surfaces and prevent glass containers from cracking or breaking.
Always read and follow the manufacturer's use and safety instructions carefully.Don't burn a candle longer than the manufacturer recommends.
Keep burning candles away from drafts, vents, ceiling fans and air currents. This will help prevent rapid, uneven burning, and avoid flame flare-ups and sooting. Drafts can also blow lightweight curtains or papers into the flame where they could catch fire.
Always burn candles in a well-ventilated room. Don't burn too many candles in a small room or in a "tight" home where air exchange is limited.
Never touch a burning candle or move a votive or container candle when the wax is liquid.
Never use a knife or sharp object to remove wax drippings from a glass holder. It might scratch, weaken, or cause the glass to break upon subsequent use.
Place burning candles at least three inches apart from one another. This is to make sure they don't melt one another, or create their own drafts that will cause the candles to burn improperly.
Never extinguish candles with water. The water can cause the hot wax to splatter and might cause a glass container to break.
Be very careful if using candles during a power outage. Flashlights and other battery-powered lights are safer sources of light during a power failure. Never use a candle during a power outage to look for things in a closet, or when fueling equipment - such as a lantern or kerosene heater.
Make sure a candle is completely extinguished and the wick ember is no longer glowing before leaving the room.
Extinguish a candle if it smokes, flickers repeatedly, or the flame becomes too high. The candle isn't burning properly and the flame isn't controlled. Let the candle cool, trim the wick, then check for drafts before re-lighting.
Never use a candle as a night light.

The Dangers of Conventional Candles!
Conventional old fashioned candles, WITH a wick are pretty. What most people do not know, is how truly harmful they can be. Many are mass produced with extremely toxic materials that can harm you, your children and your pets. That is why everyone who loves candles, should consider using Scentsy wickless Flameless Candles instead.
When you pick up a candle at a store, there isn't an ingredients list such as the ones you find on a can of soup. The candle makers don't want you to know what you are buying. These candles burn quickly, and dangerously, and in fact, quite filthy.
If you are a candle lover and burn several candles at once you should try this. Take a white napkin and wipe down some baseboards near the area where the candles usually burn. If those surfaces have not been cleaned in a while, you will notice that the napkin has turned a nasty gray and sometimes even black color. This, is what is called SOOT DAMAGE. Soot can be extremely damaging to your home. There are home restoration companies that dedicate themselves to removing soot from your home after a fire and I know, I worked for one.
Soot damage can not only make your home smell terrible, but it can also damage your EXPENSIVE electronics. Think about your expensive flat screen, or your X-box, or maybe your Blu-ray player. The soot is introduced into your electronics and then within a matter of months, it begins to cause irreversible damage.
So what?! It's just electronics and a stinky home! Okay, so if that does not bother you. Think of this then. The LEAD levels in your home will rise drastically. A woman by the name of Cathy Flanders from Texas, was burning candles in her home. "Testing revealed the lead level in the Flanders' home to be 40 milligrams per square foot -- 27 times the limit allowed in Housing and Urban Development homes."
So I like a little lead in my life! Well, we told you about the stench, the destruction of electronic components, and even the dangers of candles and lead. Still not convinced? What about a house fire? "The National Candle Association says there are some 18,000 candle-caused fires annually in the United States, and experts blame carelessness on the part of candle users."
Now that you know the dangers of conventional old fashioned candles, will you give Scentsy a try? Please visit us at aromadance.scentsy.us
Q. How long will Scentsy Candle Bars last? A. They will last roughly 50 - 80 hours. However some have lasted longer. It depends on the strength of the fragrance.
Q. How long can I leave my Scentsy warmer on? A. As long as you feel comfortable leaving it on. Think of it as a night light, I leave mine on 24/7.
Q. What kind of wax is used when making Scentsy Candle Bars? A. We use a food-grade petroleum wax. We chose this wax because of its superior scent loading ability, melting point and firmness. We warm the scent out of the wax meaning the wax remains in the warmer, so there are no toxic chemicals being released into the home, unlike candles.
Q. What is a food grade petroleum wax? A. It's just that! edible but Scentsy most definitely does not recommend eating their product. It's also the same material found on apples in your local grocery store to give them their shine.
Q. What type of oil is used in Scentsy candle bars? A. Key fragrance oil which is the highest grade of oil before processing.
